Evelyn Ferne Link, 79, of Greenbrier, Arkansas, passed away on March 14, 2024, at Conway Regional Hospital. Evelyn was born on Sept. 27, 1944, to Walter Link and Grace (Bittner) Link in Des Moines, Iowa. She graduated from Maxwell High School in 1963, was a talented basketball player and well-liked by her classmates. Evelyn had perfect attendance from kindergarten through graduation. She continued her education at the University of Arkansas Community College in Morrilton, Arkansas.
For numerous years Evelyn worked for Belden, Pilgrim’s Pride and CHDC. Even during what should have been her retirement, she went to work at the Fish House in Bee Branch, Arkansas, until its closing.
