It was Senior Night this past Friday and the final game of the regular season for the Clinton Yellow Jackets as they hosted the Lonoke Jackrabbits.

Although the Jackets had a few starters on the injured reserve list, they answered the bell and gave it all they had.

Quarterback Fielder Dufrene came up big with 131 yards rushing, 168 yards in the air, 2 touchdowns and 3 extra points.

Stephen Sappington carried the ball several times for 98 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Caden Hickman bulled his way up the middle for 37 yards rushing.

The Spider Man, Hunter Blanton, pulled down two big passes for 87 yards and 1 touchdown.

Sam Phillips also grabbed two passes for 27 yards and pulled one down in the end zone for a two point conversion.

Senior Drew Farmer rushed for 10 yards before leaving the game with an injury.

Leading the charge on defense was Jesus Robles and David Hunt with 5 tackles each for the Jackets.

There were several Jackets that stopped the Jackrabbits with 4 tackles each; Chase Cook, Dufrene, Hickman, Robby Slack, Shawn Watts, Rex Fletcher, Caleb Ward and Jace Bradley.

Garrett Bagley and Jason Martinez each ended the game with 3 tackles each.

As hard as the Jackets fought, they still came up a touchdown short losing their final regular season game to Lonoke 38-45.

But it’s not over yet! The Jackets have made it to the playoffs and are headed to Booneville Friday, Nov. 15. Kickoff will be at 7 p.m. Let’s hit the road and support the Jackets!
