Cardinals beat Little Rock team

The Clinton Cardinals played the Little Rock A’s on July 27 in Little Rock. The Cardinals won 15-3.

The game was started by Nathan “Steady” Smith who pitched r solid innings allowing only 3 runs. Jake “Buzzman” Bell closed the game for the Cardinals. The game was shortened to 7 innings because of a run rule.

John “Rebel” Robertson caught most of the game and was relieved by Chas “Cadillac” Tamburo the last 2 innings.

Robertson went 1 for 4; Trey “The Hurricaine” Austin went 2 for 3 and was hit by a pitch. Rico “The Rocket” Edmonson went 1 for 4; Smith went 1 for 4; Kendall “Dizzy Dean” Bates went 1 for 4; Jake “Stonewall” Hink went 3 for 4 with a home run. Tamburo went 2 for 4; Bell went 2 for 4; and Ben “The Big Hurt” Hunley walked two times and had a base hit.

The Cardinals next game was at home against Conway on Aug. 3.
