If this dog ever had a name, that name has been forgotten. It was one of a few left at an Oyler Road residence after county animal control rounded up and shot 26 dogs deemed unapproachable and aggressive last week. The dogs’ owner died in August, leaving a “pack” of around 50 ownerless, unvaccinated dogs wandering the Oyler Road area. County Animal Control Director Reta Tharp said on Tuesday that she will try to work with the remaining dogs to hopefully give them a chance of adoption. JOE LAMB PHOTO
