Democratic Gov. Mike Beebe last week unveiled his 42-by-50-inch portrait by artist Ovita Goolsby of Royal. The painting will be hung in the governor’s conference room at the Capitol on Jan. 13, the day that Republican Asa Hutchinson will be sworn in as governor. Goolsby spent five months painting the portrait and the $12,500 cost was raised from private donors.
