The Van Buren County office of the Arkansas Farm Bureau attended the 80th conference of the state Arkansas Farmer Bureau last month in Hot Springs. The local office racked up several awards including the Ten Gold Stars Award, the Excellence in Agriculture Award and recognition for the women’s committee. The delegation from Van Buren County included Terry Rushing (president), Jimmy Brown (secretary), Sheila Brown (Women’s Committee chair), Danny Wood (delegate), Bobby Brown (delegate), Leon Wilson (delegate), Becky Wood, Judy Brown and Cindy Wilson ( Women’s Committee members). Agency Manager Mickey Parish and his wife Susan and Danny Griffin, UofA Cooperative Extension county agent, also represented the county.
