Several sentenced to probation

Several defendants on charges ranging from drug possession to theft were sentenced to probation Monday in Judge Charles Clawson’s Van Buren County Circuit Courtroom.

Sharky’s restaurant in Fairfield Bay was destroyed by fire last Friday morning. The cause of the fire has not been determined. Fairfield Bay Fire Department responded to the blaze, aided by Shirley, Burnt Ridge and Greers Ferry. There were no reports of injuries in the fire.
