Maddy has been a volunteer and advocate for shelter animals in Van Buren County for the past four years and is planning on expanding her volunteer work throughout the state. The weather cooperated for the annual Fly-In at the Clinton Municipal Airport. Many local planes as well as 34 aircraft from other airports as far away as Memphis took part. Among planes at the airport Saturday, Sept. 20, were antiques, classics, homebuilts, gyrocopters, an ultralight and one helicopter plus many contemporary aircraft. The Archey Fork Classic Car Club participated by putting several cars on display. There was a hand-launched glider contest for the kids, model aircraft flying and a camera drone demonstration. About 300 people attended.
