James S. Wilson
James Stephen Wilson, age 54, was born June 19, 1959, at the old hospital in Clinton. He was a 1977 graduate of Clinton High School. He served in the U.S. Army then returned to live in Dennard.
He began attending the Vo-Tech School in Morrilton where he met and married Geneva Shipp. They had a son, Samuel Stephen Wilson.
As a member of the Arkansas National Guard he was called to duty during Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm.
On May 15, 2014, he died when his four-wheeler rolled over on him.
He is survived by his parents Raymond and Camille Wilson, and his sister Kay Bensuk of Dennard, his son Samuel and grandson Sawyer of Bee Branch, and a granddaughter, Rose.
He was cremated and his remains will be interred in the Dennard Cemetery.
William Ray Barnett, 88, of Waurika, Oklahoma, passed away Friday, May 16, 2014, in Clarksville, Arkansas.
Graveside services were 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 20, 2014, at Burkburnett Memorial Cemetery with Pastor Lynn Plant officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Burkburnett.
Ray was born on March 24, 1926, in Clinton, Arkansas, to the late Charles R. and Clara E. (Ferrell) Barnett. He was a wonderful father who loved all, and all loved him. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Barnett; his son, Robert L. Barnett; and his granddaughter, Tammy L. Pollan.
He is survived by his three sons, Kenneth Randall Barnett of Morrilton, Arkansas, Norman Wayne Barnett and wife Linda of Burkburnett, and William Ray Barnett Jr. of Greensville; three daughters, Linda C. Pollan and husband Donald of Holliday, Sherry Cockrell of Morrilton, Arkansas, and Sandra M. Kern and husband Jeff of Cache, Oklahoma; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
