Bernice Imogene James, 84, of Clinton, Ark., passed from this life to be with her Lord Friday, Oct. 4, 2013. She was born Dec. 18, 1928, in Higden, Ark., daughter of the late John Wesley and Atheline (Payne) Crawford.
Imogene loved children and because of this taught children’s Bible classes and had a daycare in her home where she babysat many children over the years. She was a faithful member of the Clinton Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Ralph Webster James; her sister, Gracie Eveline Crawford; and two brothers, Roy Leon Crawford and Bradley Melvin Crawford.
She is survived by her four children, Gereta Semanek and husband Ron of Pearland, Texas, Geraldine Crow and husband Steve of Morrilton, Ark., Gary James and wife Nancy of Spiro, Okla., and Johnny James and wife Joyce of Clinton, Ark.; two brothers, Hulen Ray Crawford and John Albert Crawford of Marshall, Ark.; three sisters, Lorene James of Clinton, Betty Lou Rorie of Mountain Home, Ark., and Mary Lois Rose of Lincoln, Mo.; nine grandchildren, Marcus and Matt Semanek, Jennifer Semanek Greenwell, Jason Crow, Misti Crow Beck, Jonathan, Chad and Justine James, and Elisha James Parker; 12 great-grandchildren; and a host of friends and relatives. Naomi E. Bonds, 89, of Clinton, died Friday, Oct. 4, 2013. Naomi was born Aug. 7, 1924 in Clinton to the late Lon and Winona (Cord) Cleaver. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Marvin L. Bonds.
Mrs. Bonds was a member of Lexington Baptist Church. She is survived by sons Gary Bonds and wife Linda of Clinton and Larry Bonds of Fayetteville; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother-in-law Dean Bonds; sister-in-law Ruby Campbell; sister-in-law Ileava Strickland and husband Dean; and sister-in-law Amy Bonds; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Franklin H. McKinney, 81, of Fairfield Bay died Friday, Oct. 4. He will be dearly missed by his family: wife Romaine; daughters Sharon Kerns of Fairfield Bay, Patti Kaloyanoff of Hot Springs Village, and Cassie Lincoln of Livermore, Calif.; his brother, William A. McKinney of Scotland; and his surviving sisters, Dorothy Rankin of Knoxville, Tenn., and Ann Pepin of Memphis, Tenn. A memorial service was held Tuesday, Oct. 8, at the Kingdom Hall in Clinton.
Veda Jo Hutchison, age 88, of Morrilton passed away on Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013. Veda was born May 30, 1925, in Bee Branch, Ark., a daughter to the late Joe Canady and Vera Holland Canady. Veda was of the Baptist Faith, a home maker, she loved Razorback Basketball and loved spending time with her great niece and nephew Taylor and Zach Stobaugh. Veda lived in Yuma, Ariz., for many years with her husband Edd while he was employed on the naval base there before moving back to Bee Branch. She is preceded in death by her husband Edd and two brothers, Joe Jr. and James Ray Canady.
Veda is survived by two sisters, Carolyn Rose Bradford of Morrilton and Bobbie Sue Nicholson of Conway, along with nieces, nephews and great-nieces and -nephews.

Sally Jane Alsbury, 71, of Fairfield Bay, Ark., died Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013, at Baptist Heath Medical Center Extended Care Hospital Little Rock. She was born Oct. 3, 1941, in Detroit, Mich., to James Oscar and Mildred Gladys (Schmidt) Bradt.
She is survived by her husband, David Francis Alsbury; son Ken Holmes of Placentia, Calif.; sister Nancy Vinnes of Fairfield Bay; and many close friends.
