Juanita Love

Juanita Mae Love, 82, of Clinton, Ark., passed from this life Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013. Juanita was the daughter of Daulphus and Eula Love. She was born at home on February 3, 1931, at Scotland, Ark. She had four brothers, Weldon, J.T., Don and Bobby Love.

Juanita is survived by one brother, JT Love of Scotland; three sisters-in-law, Gussie (Weldon) Love of Little Rock, Monna (Don) Love of Clinton, and Gloria (Bobby) Love of Scotland; seven nephews and three nieces, many friends and loved ones. She was preceded in death by her parents, Daulphus and Eula (Griggs) Love; three brothers, Weldon Love of Little Rock, Don Love of Clinton, and Bobby Love of Scotland; one sister-in-law, Betty (JT) Love of Scotland. www.arkansasfuneralcare.com.

Pamula Franks

Pamula Franks of Springfield, Ark., died Sept. 30, 2013.

She is survived by her husband, Mike Franks; sons Charles Nathan Franks and Jason A. Franks of Springfield; and daughter-in-law Kerry Carroll of Springfield; brother Edward Ray Hubbard of Tennessee; and sisters Kellie Joe Dunn of Springfield, Diane Davis of Conway, and sister Hannah Wells of Casa, Ark. Also, two grandchildren, Michael Dwight

Franks and Anderalla Marie Franks of Guy, Ark., as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Vivian L. Hubbard.

Visitation will be Oct. 2, 2013, from 5-7 p.m. at Clinton Funeral Service Chapel. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2013, at Clinton Funeral Service Chapel. Katherine Mercer

Katherine Louise Mercer, 64, of Damascus, Ark., died Sunday, Sept. 29, 2013, at Ozark Health Medical Center. She was born Dec. 13, 1948, in Damascus, the daughter of the late Blass and Juanita (Burrough) Holland.

She was a factory worker and of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Freddy Ray Mercer, and her brother, Donald W. Holland.

She is survived by her children, Renea McConnell of Vilonia, James Ray Valentine of Damascus, and Tracy Hazlewood of Quitman; three sisters, Paulette Freeman of Quitman, Mildred Young and Judy Brown, both of Michigan; stepmother, Fern Holland of Michigan; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; many dear friends she cherished and loved dearly. Just to name a few, Debbie Finholm, Gennie Finholm, Darlene Duncan, Betty Henry, and so many more.

Pallbearers: Trey Jackson, Mark Hazlewood, Cody McKenzie, Travis Holland, Chad Freeman, and Keith Freeman.

Visitation was Monday, Sept. 30, 2013, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home Chapel, Clinton, Ark. Funeral service was 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2013, at Sardis Freewill Baptist Church, Damascus, Ark., with Pastor Gary Burdin officiating. Burial was in Old Salem Cemetery, Bee Branch. Ernest Darling Jr.

Ernest Dean Darling Jr. 56, of Clinton, Ark., passed away Sunday, Sept. 29, 2013. He was born Sept. 8, 1957, in Peoria, Ill., to Ernest Dean and Roberta L. (Rugg) Darling Sr.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Dean Darling Sr. He is survived by his mother, Roberta L. Darling of Clinton; three sisters, Cheryl Collins of Kennasaw, Ga., Christina Borchert of Scott City, Mo., and Janelle Chickesh of Smyrna, Ga.; and many close friends.

Memorial Service will be 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4, 2013, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home Chapel, Clinton, with Pastor George Odell officiating. Alta Williams

Alta Williams 93, of Clinton, Ark., passed away Friday, September 27, 2013. She was born June 10, 1920 in Peetz, Colo., to Samuel and Blanche (Hiett) Davis.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Delbert Williams; son, Jimmy Williams; four brothers, Dale, Wayne, Harvey, and Oren Davis; two sisters, Lyle Parish and Eva Lewis.

She is survived by her daughter, Wanda Keeling and husband Kenneth of Clinton; granddaughter, Kim Hunley and husband Ben of Clinton; grandson, Troy Lynn Keeling; two great-grandsons, Cody Keeling and Henry Hunley; brother, Lee Davis and wife Helen; and many nieces, nephews, and close friends that loved her and will miss her dearly.

Pallbearers: Rod Davis, Phil Bradley, Jerry Evans, Greg Parish, Randy Davis and Dale Breedlove.

Honorary pallbearers: Cody Keeling, Troy L. Keeling, Ben Hunley and Frank Lewis.

Visitation was Sunday, Sept. 29, 2013, and funeral service was 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 30, 2013, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home Chapel, Clinton, with Brother Charles Bennett officiating. Michelle Story

Michelle M. Vanhorn Story, 67, of Clinton, Ark., passed away at her home among family and friends after an extended illness Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013. She was born Feb. 24, 1946, in Little Rock to Edward H. and Mary Katherine (Farrell) Boyett.

Michelle was an avid seamstress. She worked for many years at the Conference Center in Fairfield Bay where she was the 1982 Fairfield Bay Employee of the year. She participated in many Little Theater productions (Awarded Best Actress, 1982), did commercials for KFFB radio, and was a member of the Red Hat Society and Saint Jude Catholic Church in Clinton.

Michele was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Christopher Boyett. She is survived by her son, Kevin Vanhorn of Monticello, Ark.; two brothers, Steve Boyett of Haltom, Texas, and Bruce Boyett of Little Rock; one sister, Monica Hubach of Austin, Texas; as well as two grandchildren, Victoria and Hannah Vanhorn.

Family will gather with friends from 5-7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4, 2013, at Saint Jude Catholic Church, Clinton. Rosary will follow at 7 p.m. with Deacon Frank Zanoff officiating. Memorial Mass will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013, at Saint Jude Catholic Church with Father Oliver Ochieze officiating.
