Emmett Teague

James “Emmett” Teague, 81, of Shirley, Ark., died Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013. He was born Aug. 4, 1932, in Clinton, Ark., to the late Cecil Everett and Willie Elizabeth (Kirkendoll) Teague.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a daughter, Carolyn Louise (Teague) Branscum. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Willa Jean (Watts) Teague of the home; Kathy and Steve Barger of Clinton; four grandchildren, Stephanie Treece, Lisa Eoff, Chasity Branscum and B.J. Branscum; three great-grandchildren, Holly and Emily Treece, and Seth Eoff; two sisters, Beulah Harlan of Texas, and Jeanive (Teague) Hankins of Scotland, Ark.; brother, Cecil Everett Teague Jr., of Shirley, AR; and many close friends.

Pallbearers: Donnie Watts, Donnie Collins, Randy Watts, Mark Watts, Stevens Murray, and Steve Barger.

Visitation was Sunday, Sept. 22, 2013, and funeral service was 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 23, 2013, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home Chapel, Clinton, with Pastor Ester Bass officiating. Bobby Spence Sr.

Bobby Joe Spence Sr., 74, of Bee Branch passed from this life on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013. Born in Trumann, Ark., on June 6, 1939, he was the son of the late Eck and Nancy (Brown) Spence.

He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He retired from Bell South in Memphis with 31 years of service. Bob was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Damascus, Ark. He was also a 32nd-degree Master Mason, past Master of the Raleigh Masonic Lodge, and past Patron and member of the Bartlett OK Houck O.E.S.

Those left to cherish his memory are: son Bobby Joe Spence Jr.; daughter Cathy Braswell and husband Ross; son-in law Paul Gallina; sister Betty Tunnel of Memphis; sister-in-law Helen Hutchins and husband Windell of Bee Branch; grandchildren, Christopher Gallina, Elisabeth Gallina, Daniel Braswell and Caitlin Braswell; and great-granddaughter Mila Gallina.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Mary Louise Spence; daughter, Tammy Gallina; brother Elry Spence; and sisters, Louise King and Bernice Weaver.

Visitation was Monday, Sept. 23, 2013, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, Greenbrier. Funeral service was 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24, at Southside Baptist Church with Pastor Steve Stephens officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Mountain Cemetery near Damascus with Christopher Gallina, Jeffery Todd Hutchins, Zachary Hutchins, Jeff Hutchins, Todd Hutchins, and Glen Stambaugh serving as pallbearers. Edna Vaughan

Edna Mae Vaughan 95, of Clinton, Ark., went to be with her Lord Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2013. She was born June 25, 1918, in Mineral Wells, Texas, to Jasper and Lydia May Lancaster.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Elders E. Vaughan; brothers; grandsons Bradon Barnes and Billy Don Watts; great-grandson, Steven Joe Vaughan; two sons-in-laws, Leroy Fiene and Donald Nelson.

She is survived by her grandson, Bob and Amy Owen and Nickalas Koone, and Conner Owen of the home; her children, Jack (Omia) Vaughan, Hazel Nelson, Joe (Carol) Vaughan, all of Alread, Ark.; and Faye Fiene of Isanti, Minn.; 10 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; 35 great-great-grandchildren; and many close friends.

Pallbearers: Scott Vaughan, Keith Vaughan, Bob Owen, Charlie Whorton, Michael Shane Godfrey, and Chad Owen.

Visitation was Friday, Sept. 20, 2013, and funeral service was 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013, at Rupert Baptist Church with Pastor J.W. Koone officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
