Hazel May Glass, 97, of Clinton, Ark., formerly of Greers Ferry, passed away Friday, Aug. 23, 2013, at Ozark Health Nursing Center in Clinton. She was born March 7, 1916, in Travis County, Texas, to the late Joe Thomas and Bessie (Musa) Hill.
Miss Hazel joined the Lexington Baptist Church in 1976. She was a member of the Extension Homemakers Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Henry G. McCracken and Gilbert H. Glass; son Don G. McCracken; six brothers; and one sister. She is survived by her sons, Jack H. and Jimmie McCracken of Georgetown, Texas, and Patrick H. McCracken of Ingelside, Texas; and one daughter, Mary Jo Periot of Greers Ferry; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.; and two great-great-grandchildren. Miss Hazel had a large extended family including our “Sister” Rosemary Hays of Shirley, Ark., and many friends.
Pallbearers: Zackary Hill, Robert Hill, Billy Darr, Craig Breedlove, Charlie Deckelman and Mike Treadaway. Honorary pallbearers: Henry “Sonny” Hays, Van Ward and Cecil Bang.

Mildred Magdalene Ticer Wheeler, 91, of Dennard, passed away Aug. 22, 2013. She was born Oct. 1, 1921, in Fox, Ark., to the late Ernest Clinton Bilke and Tennessee Myrtle (Davis) Bilke. She was a homemaker and a member of the General Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by two husbands, Virgil Ticer and Kenneth Wheeler; a sister, Jewell Meyers; and two grandsons, Dencil Lee Ticer and Bill Ticer. Mrs. Wheeler is survived by two sons, Glen Ticer and wife Alice of Harrison, and Dencil Joe Ticer and wife Cheryl of Hector; one sister, Burl Lee Ticer of Clinton; two grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
Visitation was Friday, Aug. 23, 2013, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Clinton. Doyle Edward Blaylock died on Aug. 21, 2013. He was born July 27, 1939, at Perry, Ark., to the late Frank Burlen Blaylock and Mary Lavonia Wessner Blaylock.
He was preceded in death by two infant sisters and one infant brother, and one sister, Frankie May Blaylock Adenalian. He is survived by his wife, Judy Payne Simmons Blaylock of Scotland; three sons, Doyle Edwin and Marion Blaylock of Columbia, S.C., Kurt Edmund Blaylock of Dardanelle, and Jonathan and Jami Blaylock of Morrilton; two step-daughters, Sarah and husband Terry Ratzlaff of Morrilton, and Bobbie and husband Steve Johnson of Scotland; seven grandsons, two granddaughters; and three great-grandchildren.
Doyle’s family moved to Los Angeles, Calif., in the mid-40s to search for work and Doyle grew up there. He always loved Arkansas and he and his family made many vacation trips back to the Morrilton area. He and his family moved back to Arkansas in the early 70s.
Doyle was a carpenter by trade and worked many years for Kordsmeier Remodeling of Conway. He loved to hunt and fish. He purchased his dream hunt camp in the early 90s in the Buttercreek community and built a hunting cabin that he was so proud of.
When the tornado of 2010 destroyed the Scotland Community Center, he volunteered many hours helping to remodel the old Scotland Elementary building for use as a Community Senior Center. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
Visitation was Sunday, Aug. 25. Funeral services were 10 a.m. Aug. 26 at Scotland Baptist Church, with internment following at Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
