Linda Rice

Linda Mae Rice, 66, of Clinton went home to her heavenly father on Aug 11, 2012. Linda was born Dec. 31, 1946, in Marshall, Ark., to the late John P. and Dorothy Reynolds Clutts. She married Paul Luther Rice on July 15, 1996.

Also surviving are her mother Dorothy Clutts of Chimes, Ark.; three daughters, Lisa and Eric Stafford of Quitman, Donna Hicks of Clinton, and Michelle and John Goodnight of Shirley; a son, Michael and Chrissy Myrick Clinton; granddaughters Nikki Bruce of Choctaw, Kayla Hicks of Marshall, and Jennifer Whitbey of Marshall; grandsons Justin Whitbey of Shirley and Trey Hicks of Harrison; and four great grandchildren.

Linda was preceded in death by her father John P. Clutts, granddaughter Kaitlyn Danielle Bruce and nephew Joe Scott Clutts.

She was a lifelong resident of Van Buren County. She worked for the Doublebee’s Exxon as assistant manager. She was a Christian and deeply loved the Lord. She was deeply devoted to her family and loved spending time with Paul, her children and grandchildren. She adored her babies Angel and Wendy.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14, at Clinton Funeral Service. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 15, at Archey Valley in Chimes with Brother Larry Don Smith and Brother David Williams officiating. Burial will be at the Liberty Cemetery in Chimes. Grover Knight

Grover Lee Knight, 82, of Clinton, Ark., went to be with the Lord Saturday, Aug. 10, 2013. He was born March 23, 1931, in Dover, Fla., to the late David Crocket and Ruby Lee (Mullis) Knight.

Grover served in the United States Army for 9 1/2 years, during which time he served as Military Police. Grover loved his Lord, family, and country with all of his heart. He loved his Atlanta Braves and Tampa Bay Bucs.

He was preceded in death by his parents, David Crocket and Ruby Lee (Mullis) Knight; infant, Michelle Lynn Knight; two sisters, Mattaline Rogers and Jewell Knight; brother, Billy Knight.

He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Patricia Ann (Dearmon) Knight of the home, three sons, Jason Knight of Shirley, Ark., Steve Knight (Amy) of Boca Raton, Fla., and Eric Williams of Nashville, Tenn.; one daughter, Susan Wood (Day) of Conway, Ark; six grandchildren, Kaylen Wood, Taylor Knight, Karah Knight, Eddie Wood, Cullen Knight and Austin Williams; four sisters, Gail Law of Lakeland, Fla., and Sally Raburn (Bobby), Mary Ann Alford, and Jane Knowell (Clarence), all of Plant City, Fla.; two brothers, David Knight (Patsy) of Tavares, Fla., and Grant Knight of Atlanta; many nieces, nephews and close friends.

Visitation will be at 9:30 a.m. and funeral service at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2013, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home Chapel, Clinton, with Pastor Ester Bass officiating. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery, Plant City, Fla., with U.S. Army Military Honors. Local arrangements under the care and direction of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home of Clinton.
