• Arkansas Community Foundation is offering three privately funded scholarships for Arkansas students. The Arkansas Service Memorial Scholarship is available annually for students who have a parent who died in service to their nation, state or community. Applications received by May 1, 2013, will be given priority.
The Ryan Mondy D.A.S.H. Memorial Scholarship is presented annually to a student whose life has been touched by cancer. Recipients must have battled cancer themselves or must have a sibling who has been diagnosed with cancer. Applications are due April 1.
The AT&T War Memorial Scholarship, which honors Arkansas’ 25 Medal of Honor winners, is awarded annually to a veteran of any branch of the U.S. Armed Services who will be attending an accredited two- or four-year college or university in Arkansas. Applications are due April 1.

• The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Health Resources and Services Administration is announcing the 2013 Nurse Corps Scholarship Program (NCSP) is open for applications. The program enables students accepted or enrolled in a diploma, associate, baccalaureate or graduate nursing program to receive funding for tuition, fees and other educational costs in exchange for working at an eligible “critical shortage facility” upon graduation.
