A stabbing was reported last week at a Clinton motel.
Traci Noland was stabbed in the chest area in a room at the Best Western - Hillside Inn, according to a report from the Clinton Police Department. A man who was identified in the report only by his last name “Rappold,” was being sought in the stabbing.
According to the report, Noland was taken by helicopter to Conway Regional Hospital. There was no word on her condition at press time.
Noland was able to tell police that she and Rappold had been living together for several months. They had a fight and she went to stay at the hotel, the report said. The suspect showed up and a “heated argument” ensued, the report said. Noland told another woman at the hotel to call police.
The victim said that angered Rappold and he “pulled out a knife and stabbed her in the right side of her body,” the report stated.
At the time of the report, police had not yet made an arrest.
