The Van Buren County Democrat has partnered with three local businesses to provide prizes for the Top 5 responses.
Grand prize is a $75 gift certificate from Western Sizzlin; first prize is a $25 gift certificate from FL Davis Cash Lumber; and second-, third- and fourth-place finishers will each receive a $15 gift certificate from Vandygriff Shoes.
The small print: Entries must be received by 4 p.m. Monday, June 9, at the Democrat office via e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org, fax: 745-8865; telephone: 745-5175; or in person at our downtown office, 197 Court St., Clinton. No relatives of Democrat staff members are eligible, and all decisions by our judges are final.

Clinton Police and the Van Buren County sheriff’s office are investigating break-ins at four business last Thursday and another Monday night. Police said the businesses broken into Thursday were Backyard Antiques, La Rosita restaurant, the concession stand at Clinton schools and China King restaurant in Choctaw. Monday’s victim was the county health department. No other details were available.
Early voting is under way until next Tuesday at the Courthouse Annex in Clinton to decide the Republican runoff for attorney general. Leslie Rutledge and David Sterling are the candidates. For more information call 745-VOTE.
