Shirley students nabbed the top three honors in a recent essay contest.
English Composition teacher, Andrea Crowell, encouraged her seventh- and eighth-grade students to enter Farm Bureau’s Ag-in-the-classroom essay contest. Matthew Paulin, Brayden Prater and Benton Berry won first-, second- and third-place respectively in the county competition. They were awarded prize money for their efforts.
The theme of their essays was, “Arkansas Farmers Produce A Safe Food Supply.”
