The July feature artist for the North Central Arkansas Gallery exhibit at the Town Conference center in Fairfield Bay has been painting for more than 45 years.
Amy Hill Imler of North Little Rock received her formal training at the art Academy of Cincinnati, Ohio, where she earned a degree in design in 1969. She illustrated a 20 volume set of Children’s Books entitled “Creative Activities Program.”
Imler moved to Arkansas in 1975 and began painting wildlife and natural images. She became president of Mid-Southern Watercolors in 1989 where she is a signature member. Currently she is working with acrylics. She paints primarily non-objectively but loves to paint figures and pets. She has received numerous awards and was selected as a finalist by “The Artists Magazine” in its 21st annual art completion. She was named Artist of the Year by Pulaski Technical College Foundation in North Little Rock in 2013.
The NCA’s next exhibit begins Aug. 4. Artists are welcome to submit their work by July 21 to be considered for the exhibit.
