We have had a great week and the weather has been very nice, but I hear we may have a little more winter this week. Just hang in there and we will have spring very soon.
We still have several in our community who are ill and some are still keeping doctor’s appointments. Remember them in your prayers. we see prayers answered every day.

Not much going on up here on the hill this week. Weather is up and down, warm and cool, rainy and sunny. Got to love Arkansas!

Punxsutawney Phil may not be a Dennard resident but his prediction last Saturday may affect us all. Punxsutawney Phil did not see his shadow; if he’s right, spring will come early this year and that’s just fine with me, I’m ready for the green of spring.
There may be times when we feel that modern technology can be a “bother” but I’m sure one Dennard resident realized just what a blessing a cell phone can be. Several friends and neighbors stopped to help this young lady on her way after she broke down with a flat tire on Rocky Hill road last week. How many times have we all been grateful to have that ability to call for help or just to be able to share something with a friend or loved one anytime, anywhere. It’s good to have such nice neighbors and friends, too.
I think the skunks have a head start on spring since I have been seeing and smelling their presence already. With Valentine’s Day here it reminds me of the cartoon character Pepe Le Pew. Pepe is a French skunk that strolls around Paris in the springtime seeking “L’Amour,” love of his own. However, he has two big turnoffs to any possible mate, his terrible odor and his refusal to take “no” for an answer. I sure hope you all enjoy your Valentine’s Day and find some “L’Amour” of your own, unlike our little skunk friend who never seems to catch the girl of his dreams.
