Wendy Henderson has announced her candidacy for city of Clinton recorder/treasurer.

Henderson is currently serving in that position after being elected by the City Council to fulfill the remainder of the term of Merl Eoff who retired at the end of June.

“I have been doing the job for the last four months and have been in the office as the administrative assistant to the mayor and recorder/treasurer for the past 16 months,” Henderson said. “I learned a lot from Merl and feel very confident in being able to carry out the required duties as the recorder/treasurer.”

Henderson is the daughter of William and Bonnie (Simpkins) Wagner, and is married to Brian Henderson, son of Jim and Nona Henderson. The couple has three boys, Brannon, 10, Brayson, 5, and Wagner, 11 months.

“Brannon and Brayson keep us busy with sports and we absolutely love sharing and making memories with them and being involved,” Henderson said.

“I believe that my young mind, free spirit, and love for my children will help me fulfill the great ideas I have for the future of the city of Clinton,” she said.

“I would love to continue to be the city of Clinton recorder/treasurer, so please get out and vote Wendy Henderson, recorder/treasurer on Nov. 6,” Henderson said.
