Students at Clinton schools are sending aid to tornado victims in Vilonia and Mayflower. Some of the students know first-hand what it’s like to be a victim of a tornado, including one a year ago that hit in the Botkinburg and Highway 110 areas of the county.

Clinton High School organizations have banded together to donate and deliver water and toiletry items to the Salvation Army. Students in EAST have taken one load already, and plan to take another truckload, according to EAST facilitator Sandi Jones.

At the Elementary School, pupils collected jars of peanut butter in a “Spread the Love” campaign. Other items also were collected.

At Clinton Junior High, students collected items and cash for the victims.
