Clinton Schools start Aug. 20

Work continues on the expansion of the Clinton Junior High School building. Classrooms and a safe room are being added to the facility.

The 2012-2013 school year for Clinton School District will begin Monday, Aug. 20.

School will begin at 7:55 a.m. for all campuses. The dismissal time for elementary/intermediate car riders will be 3:05 and bus riders will dismiss at 3:15. The dismissal time for Clinton Junior and Senior high schools will be 3:25 p.m.

Orientation for parents of seventh-graders has been scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 16, in the Clinton High School Cafeteria. Open house for the K-6 schools has been scheduled for 4-6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 16. The federal programs coordinator will be available to answer any questions about the Title I plan for Clinton Schools.

Students in grades K-6 who have not previously attended Clinton Schools will need to register at the principal’s office at their school. Each office will register new students from 8 a.m.-noon and 1-3 p.m. Monday-Thursday.

Students in grades 7-12 will need to come to school to register and pick up their schedule. Students in grades 7–9 will report to Brandy Alexander’s office in the Junior High School and students in grades 10-12 will report to Kristen Hensley’s office in the high school. Note your date and time by finding the first letter of your last name.

Aug. 14: Grades 9 and 12, A-M, 8:30–11:30 a.m.; N-Z, 12:30–3:30 p.m.

Aug. 15: Grades 8 and 11, A-M, 8:30-11:30 a.m.; N-Z, 12:30-3:30 p.m.

Aug. 16 Grades 7 and 10, A-M, 8:30-11:30 a.m.; N-Z, 12:30-3:30 p.m.
