Bee Branch man faces charges
A search of a wooded area in Alread led to the arrest of one man last week.
The Van Buren County sheriff’s office received a call on Oct. 3 about a vehicle seen at an abandoned house off Anchor Road.
Deputies searched the where the vehicle was seen. After finding no one at the building, deputies searched down a driveway that led to a wooded area. There they found an abandoned truck with a car hauler attached to it. While searching the area near the truck, they found a male suspect hiding in some bushes near the woods, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office.
Brian Hardaway, 41, of Bee Branch, was arrested at the scene and transported to the Van Buren County Detention Center. A search of the vehicle Hardaway was driving revealed drug paraphernalia, the news release states.
Hardaway was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and criminal trespass. Hardaway has been released on a $2,500 bond.
