Multiple items taken in a series of burglaries throughout Van Buren County have been recovered.
In a multi-agency investigation, the Van Buren County sheriff’s office, Clinton Police Department, 20th Judicial Drug Task Force, Arkansas State Police and Fairfield Bay Police recovered the items.
Many of the items have been returned to the rightful owners by comparing filed police reports to the recovered property. Sheriff Scott Bradley is asking that anyone with an unfiled police report involving a theft from their residence or mini-storage contact the Van Buren County sheriff’s office for an appointment to view the recovered property once the necessary reports are filed.
Anyone with items stolen from approximately November 2012 through March 2013 who has not reported a burglary, will need to file a police report with the appropriate agency. Once the report is filed with a description of the items stolen, an appointment will be made with each person to view the recovered items. Every effort will be made to return the items to each owner.
Items include televisions, a small amount of tools, household decorative items, some electronic items and other miscellaneous household items. Most of the items were stolen during mini-storage break-ins and vacation home burglaries.
