Inmate who walked away is recaptured

A Van Buren County jail trusty was recaptured two days after walking away from a work detail.

Jeremy Dunigan, 31, made his escape early in the morning on Aug. 28. Two days later, on Aug. 30, he was captured near his mother’s home in Cleburne County.

Still missing is a 15-year-old Clinton girl, the Police Department says.

Hannah Grace McHale is believed to have run away, possibly with her boyfriend, and has not been seen since mid-July. Her grandmother, who is her legal guardian, reported Hannah missing on July 16.

Hannah is 5’4” tall, weighs about 107 pounds and has blond hair and blue eyes.

Anyone knowing her whereabouts is asked to call the Clinton Police Department at 745-4997.

Also still on the missing list is Larry Lacy who was reported missing on July 20. His father dropped him off around Burnt Ridge Road and called the Van Buren County sheriff’s office when his son wasn’t home within several hours.

Deputies searched for several days by airplane, helicopter, ATV and on foot. They believe Lacy was sighted on his four-wheeler that same day, but have not been able to find him.

Anyone with information on Lacy’s whereabouts is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 745-3838.
