A 22-year-old man pleaded guilty to a sexual assault charge Monday in Circuit Court.
Charles Daniel Kirkendoll pleaded guilty to first-degree sexual assault in Judge Charles E. Clawson’s courtroom and was sentenced to 360 months in the Department of Correction with 120 months of that suspended.
Kirkendoll had originally been charged with rape, but the prosecutor’s office lessened the charge. According to felony information filed in the case, Kirkendoll engaged in oral sex with a female under the age of 14 in January 2012.
In other cases Monday:
• James R. Foreman, 44, pleaded guilty to sexual assault-second degree. He was sentenced to 204 months in the Department of Correction with 96 of those months suspended.
• Trinity Shea Oxley, 29, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance and was sentenced to 72 months, with 48 of those months suspended. She also had been charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, but that charge was dropped.
Many cases were rescheduled Monday because the leading public defender was out of town.
