Catherine Elise Kirk became the bride of Captain Thomas Shea Reynolds, United States Air Force, at 6 o’clock in the evening of Saturday, August 23, 2013, at Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church, Little Rock, Arkansas. The Rev. Britt Skarda officiated.
Catherine is the daughter of Mike and Elizabeth Kirk of Little Rock. She is the granddaughter of Sue Kirk and the late H.L. “Doodle” Kirk of Pulaski, TN and the late O.M. and Marjorie Hutchison Fain of Bee Branch, Ark.
Thomas is the son of Peggy Reynolds of Brentwood, Tenn., and Brice and Debbie Reynolds of Knoxville, Tenn. He is the grandson of the late Thomas and Anita Sullivan of Memphis, Tenn., and the late William Thurman and Troy Beatrice Reynolds of Dermott, Ark.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white silk gown with a Swarovski and diamonte encrusted bodice and a sweetheart neckline. The gown extended to a chapel train. She carried a bouquet of white and butter-cream roses hydrangeas, and dahlias.
Sarah Hays of Little Rock served as her sister’s matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Katie Bartmann of Kansas City, Mo.; Hayley Pruitt of Fayetteville, Ark.; Kelli Piguet of Broken Arrow, Okla.; Chelsea Major of Owasso, Okla.; Nikki Slagell Hydro, Okla.; Mandy Block of Oktaha, Okla.; and Katy Major of Weatherford, Okla. They wore one-shoulder navy formal length chiffon dresses with a sweetheart neckline. Their bouquets were yellow and butter-cream roses, hydrangeas, and dahlias.
The flower girls were Kate Kirk, cousin of the bride and daughter of Adam and Bethany Kirk of Pulaski and Hadley Kirk, niece of the bride and daughter of Riley and Sarah Hays of Little Rock. Ring Bearers were Gage Kirk, cousin of the bride and son of Adam and Bethany Kirk of Pulaski and Andrew Reynolds, nephew of the groom and son of Phillip and Jennifer Reynolds of Knoxville.
Capt. Taylor Reynolds, U.S. Air Force, of Tampa, Fla., served his twin brother as best man. Groomsmen were Phillip Reynolds, brother of the groom of Knoxville; Maj. Russ O’Dell, Air Force, of Mount Laurel, N.J.; Capt. Stephen Dzialo, Air Force, of Warrensburg, Mo.; Capt. Smith Lilley, Air Force, of Jackson, Miss.; Capt. Drew Wunderlich, Air Force, of Abilene, Texas; Maj. Blane Howell, Air Force, of Charleston, S.C.; and Capt. Rob Hatala, Air Force, of Beavercreek, Ohio.
Ushers were Adam Kirk, cousin of the bride and Kane Deason, both of Pulaski; Riley Hays, brother-in-law of the bride, of Little Rock; Capt. Jeff Fowlkes, Air Force; Capt. Nick Pride, Air Force, of Del Rio, Texas.
A reception at the Country Club of Little Rock followed the ceremony.
The bride has a bachelor’s degree in nutritional science from Oklahoma State University and a bachelor of science in nursing from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. She is employed as a registered nurse in the surgical intensive care unit at Baptist Health System, Little Rock.
The groom has a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He is a captain in the U.S. Air Force.
The couple will reside in Kaiserslautern, Germany.
