Mark your calendars for Saturday, March 30, 2013, for the Annual Clinton Alumni Banquet at 6 p.m. The banquet provides an opportunity for friends and alumni of Clinton High School to gather and celebrate achievements, accomplishments and continued success of the school while feasting on a delicious meal. Tickets are $10 a person.
This year’s speaker will be Susan Weaver, Class of 1996. Weaver is currently the youngest judge elected in Arkansas as she serves as the 9th Judicial District Judge. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Pathology at the University of Central Arkansas and received her Juris Doctor from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. Weaver is a former deputy prosecuting attorney and has worked at the appellate court level with Supreme Court Justice Karen Baker (CHS Class of 1981). Weaver is the daughter of Ferrell and Mary Kaye Weaver of Clinton.
This year’s banquet will once again include a silent auction with items from local businesses and cakes/pies donated from alumni and Friends of Alumni. All proceeds from the silent auction will go to the Alumni Banquet fund. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. to allow an opportunity to view auction items.
For more banquet information or to donate to the silent auction, contact Lacey Standridge at 592-2893 or Matt Stewart at 231-2358.
