The Van Buren County Retired Teachers Association will meet at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 21, at the Ozark Health Medical Center for lunch and a tour of the recent additions and improvements to the facilities.
There will be a brief business meeting to elect officers for the 2013-2014 year. Nominees are as follows: President — Betty Oliger, Vice president — Ramona Rorie, Secretary — Earlene Brecheen, and Treasurer — Margaret Earnhart. Guests are welcome.
A new project of the organization is to present to a graduating senior in each of the county’s three schools a $100 scholarship. Chosen to receive scholarship money from the association were Nicholas Matson, Shirley High School; Lacie Holland, South Side High School; Holly Treece, Clinton High School.
