As of Monday past, 16 West was snow packed and slick with 1 to 1 1/2 inches of snow and ice. Some melting was occurring.
The Volunteer Fire Department holds a CPR class for its members on Thursday. Weather permitting.
The Foursquare Church holds its Soup & Chili Dinner benefit on Saturday, Feb. 15, at 4:30 p.m. A game night for adults and kids will follow.
Also at the church, revival with Bill Ford will be held Feb 16-19.
A lot folk are saying this is shaping up to being a very hard winter for the area. But Dennis Berry remembers waking up on Jan. 9, 1978 to 16 inches of snow on the ground and no one showing up for his birthday party. “Seems like we missed six weeks of school that year,” he said. I guess it’s all relative.
