Merle and Rosalee Vanaman Johnson of Clinton, Mo., visited Joan Allen on Friday. Merle and Rosalee were here for the Hooten family reunion at Greers Ferry.
Pam Murray, Legend Wilcox and Jimmy and Thelma Murray attended the Hooten family reunion at Greers Ferry on Saturday.
Kay Bensuk, Myrtice Emberton and Thelma Murray went to Harrison Monday to judge in the North West Arkansas District Fair.
Four were baptized at Shady Grove Baptist Church on Sunday morning.
Glenda Kennihan and family of Beebe visited Cala Linn over the weekend, and attended Cala’s grandson Joe Linn’s birthday party.
Bernice Parnell and her daughter Sheryl Van DeMark plan to visit Sheryl’s father, Roy Nelms of Fort Smith, and be in Fayetteville for Roy’s open heart surgery.
Visiting Beverly Brenner over the weekend was her son Derek Lynch and his son Quinton Lynch of Greenbrier, and Beverly’s daughter Brandy Lyneh of Quitman.
Last week, Jean Black had visitors from Oregon. I believe they were her nieces. I am sure they had a great time.
The Heaven Sent Bluegrass Park had a great attendance for its annual musical. They had many turn out to hear the music as well as about 45 campers that spent several days there. A good time was had by all. They had several great bands that traveled from a great distance and they said they would look forward to returning next year.
Bob Sharp has returned home and will be having some radiation as well as chemo.
Mary Hall is recovering from her surgery on her arm and will be undergoing some more tests.
We still have several in our community who are very ill so let’s all remember them in our prayers.
