We went to Arizona for a 100-year-old birthday celebration. James’ Aunt Jean was 100 on the 19th of September. She looks like she is about 75 and is sharp as a tack with a perfect memory. She outlasted us all at the party. This was a great time for her and we were so pleased to be able to help her celebrate.
Gary Ingram’s daughter, Amanda, and Tommy Lindsey were married on Saturday, Sept. 22, at Toadsuck Park. We wish them well.
Lewis Newman and a friend went on a hunting trip (I think to Colorado) and both of them got an elk. It sounds as if they had a great time.
Trivia from Gary: What do you call the man that shoes horse? He is a farrier.
Oct. 1 is the deadline for registration for the first Clinton Buddy Walk. For more information call, (501) 548-5362 or (501) 514-4859. This is a one-mile walk to promote awareness and acceptance of individuals with Down Syndrome.
Whether you call it autumn or whether you call it fall, I have heard a great sigh of relief throughout the neighborhood as we all enjoy the cooler temperatures. We’re looking forward to what we hope will be a beautiful display of color here in the Ozark mountains soon. Be sure to take some time this week and enjoy a crisp fall morning sitting outside watching the sunrise with your morning coffee or maybe sit with a loved one and watch a glorious sunset at the end of a busy day. “Life is not measured by the breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.”
