Health Fair set for Saturday

The KFFB 106.1 annual Regional Health and Wellness Fair will be held Saturday, Sept. 28, in Fairfield Bay. The HART Center, Fairfield Bay’s 23,000 square foot fitness center, will host the event from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The HART Center will be filled with doctors, nurses, and other specialists providing health tests, including: Total Cholesterol Screening, Blood Oxygen tests, Glaucoma screening, Pulse Oximetry, Carpal Tunnel Testing, Video Otoscopy, Flu Shots, Thyroid Stimulating Hormone, A1C1 For Diabetics, Vision Screening, Wound and Ulcer Risk Evaluation, Financial planning, nutritional information and many other tests. All were chosen to assess general health and head off potentially life-threatening health problems.

The Health and Wellness Fair is presented by Arkansas Heart Hospital, AssureSource,

Baptist Health Medical Center-Heber Springs, Boston Mountain Rural Health Center, Conway Regional Health System, Eagle Bank’s “Summit 55” Club, Edward Jones Investments Kevin Feeler Financial Advisor, Fairfield Bay Pharmacy, Hyla Systems, Indian Rock Village, Mountain View Specialty Clinic, Ozark Health Medical Center, Ozark Orthopedic & Hand Surgery Center, Pepsi, Professional Footcare Services, Stone County Medical Center, Stone Vision Center, Tastfuly Simple, Taylor Hearing And Balance Centers, Warren Wellness Center, White County Medical Center, White River Area Agency On Aging, White River Medical Center, ICU Protection and many other businesses are slated to take part.

The services, exhibits, and testing are free or at a nominal fee. More than 600 participants from all around North Central Arkansas attended last year.

KFFB 106.1 will be giving away over $500.00 at $106.10 every hour, plus Branson Tickets, T-shirts and other giveaways, as well as a wealth of information about maintaining good health. “We are excited about this year’s Health Fair. It should be the best yet”, said Bob Connell, Owner and General Manager of KFFB 106.1.
