Food aid available

Ozark Opportunities Inc. will be distributing USDA-donated foods to low income families in Van Buren County in August.

Those foods may include applesauce, cranberry sauce, spaghetti sauce, pasta rotini, beef stew, and grapefruit juice.

In Van Buren County, the food aid will be available Thursday, Aug. 15, at the office at 100 Success Drive, Clinton, from 8 a.m.-noon and 12:30-4 p.m. Call 745-2437 for more information.

Foster children, households receiving food stamps or who meet income guidelines are eligible. Food will not be issued to anyone other than members of the registered household, or their authorized representatives without signed, dated,

and written consent of the registered household.

Prior registration for Commodity Foods may have expired. Registration for Commodity Foods may be completed on the date of distribution and is required by all clients to receive commodities. A photo ID will be required for identification purposes.
