Trevor Drown, 43, of Russellville announces he will be a Republican candidate for State Representative, District 68, in the Republican primary May 20, 2014.
The Honorable Robert E. Dale’s tenure as state Representative is ending because he has reached his term limit. District 68 covers parts of Pope and Van Buren counties.
Drown is a graduate of Russellville High School and Arkansas Tech University. He is a United States Army Green Beret having served with distinction in Afghanistan.
Drown also is a small-business owner and is employed by UPS.
“Starting with my father, my family and I have dedicated our lives to serving the people of Arkansas for more than 40 years,” Drown states. “I am a common man with uncommon experiences and skills, and am prepared to use them in Little Rock, where I will be a voice on behalf of the people of District 68.”
Trevor is the son of Ron and Donna Drown, and is married to Kara (Cochran), daughter of Larry and Lawanda Cochran. The Cochrans are lifelong residents of the Dover/London area. Drown and his wife Kara have two children, Ayden 13, and Ella, 5.
They are members of Victory Missionary Baptist Church. Drown is also a First Sergeant in the 2/20th Special Forces Group (A), a member of the Special Operations Association, American Legion, National Rifle Association, Arkansas Cattleman’s Association, and the Pope County Republican Committee.
