The Van Buren County 4-H Grassland team has qualified for national competition.
The 2013 Arkansas 4-H Grassland Evaluation contest was held May 1 in Holland, Ark. 4-H members competed in the competition consisting of evaluation of existing grassland conditions for livestock production, plant identification, soils evaluation, and wildlife habitat evaluation.
The Van Buren County 4-H Grassland team consists of Casey Deckard, Clay Evans, Bryce Sawyer and Brooklyn Smith. The team placed fifth in the competition qualifying them for the Mid-America Grassland Evaluation Contest held in Springfield, Mo., in June.
