Charlotte West, president of the Van Buren County Historical Society, accepts EHC Oral History transcripts and audio recordings and a book commemorating the 100 years of EHC in Arkansas by author Elizabeth Hill.

On Friday, July 13, 2012, Extension Homemaker Council representatives made a donation of items to the Van Buren County Historical Society.

EH Council Vice President Cynthia Pace and Hwy 110 EH Club Secretary Kay Bensuk visited the museum to deliver the five University of Arkansas and Pryor Center Oral History Transcripts to be housed at the county’s museum. The Museum on Poplar Street in Clinton has quite a collection of items from EHC as well as a mattress hand sewn by local club members many years ago.

Charlotte West, president of the Historical Society, also accepted the book written by author Elizabeth Hill, A Splendid Piece of Work, commemorating the 100 years of Home Demonstration Clubs/Extension Homemaker Clubs throughout the state of Arkansas since 1912. In June the state celebrated EHC’s history at their annual convention in Hot Springs.
