It is mowing time again at the Settlement Cemetery. There is no paid caretaker, so volunteers will be doing the work. The cemetery is asking that old flowers that might interfere with mowing be removed. A trash bin is being provided through May; it is only for flowers, not leaves, limbs or grass cuttings. Extra dirt will be available to fill in graves.
A list of graves has been updated for the first time since 1993. A copy of the list will be donated to the Shirley Museum.
