The annual Greers Ferry Lake Area Alzheimer’s Arkansas Walk in Fairfield Bay is set for Saturday morning, Sept. 22, at Woodland Mead Park. Registration takes place at Woodland Mead Park 8:30-9:30 a.m. along with snacks provided by Indian Rock Village.
Festivities and the walk start at 9:30 from the amphitheater at the park. Prizes will be awarded starting at 11 a.m. back at the amphitheater. Freshly grilled hot dogs and hamburgers, provided by First Security Bank, will be served in the park’s parking lot. In the event of inclement weather, the event will be moved to the Fairfield Bay Hart Center.
Unable to walk? No problem. Some do, many do not for a variety of reasons. Still join us and help out however you can. Donations are welcome. Checks, made out to Alzheimer’s Arkansas, can be given to one of their representatives or mailed to Alzheimer’s Arkansas, 201 Markham Center Drive, Little Rock, AR 72205. Note “Fairfield Bay Walk” on your check. The Fairfield Bay Walk is one of six held each fall.
