‘Aerobats’ to perform at Fairfield Bay

Model airplane pilots will put their planes through patterned performances at 9 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, 2012, at the Lake Area Fun Fly Squadron model flying field. Pattern flying requires the pilot to perform maneuvers (loops, rolls, Cuban eights, and more) in front of judges, each pilot trying to make the perfect maneuver.

Pilots from nearby states will be competing, many of them champions from other competitions.

Admission is free and there will be experienced national and local flyers to explain what’s going on.

The LAFF Flying Field is on The New Road, about one mile from the mobile home park entrance to Fairfield Bay. For more information visit www.laffsrc.com.
