There will be a fundraiser for Crosseyed from 3-6 p.m. April 5, 2014, at Shirley High School. There will be hamburgers and hot dogs for $5 per meal, a silent auction including Branson attractions, sports items and gift cards, and a sale. All proceeds go toward college scholarships for Crosseyed seniors.
The Leap of Faith skydiving event begins at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 5, at the Clinton Airport. This is a fundraiser for CASA, Children’s Advocacy Alliance. Food will be for sale and there will be a donation fee at the gate. For more information call 745-3038.
Meet the candidates for state and local offices on April 5 at the Alread EH Club buildlng, Highway 16, one mile west of the Alread School. Everyone is welcome. Mothers Against Meth will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 15, at 100 Success Drive Suite 6. Everyone is welcome. The group will discuss new literature, Peace in Your Home, about defeating addiction and restoring sanity to your home.
March 29 is a 5th Saturday, and that brings gospel music to the Killebrew theater in downtown Leslie. Kingdom Highway will perform. Music starts at 7:30 p.m. and all proceeds go to support the Ozark Heritage Arts Center.
Plant Baptist Church will be hosting a 5th Saturday Night singing at 6 p.m. March 29. Light refreshments and fellowship to follow. Don Nunley and other local musicians will perform.
April 7, 2014, is the deadline to remove flowers you wish to keep from Bradley Cemetery. Flowers left on graves are subject to removal by the cleanup crew.
