The Fairfield Bay Hiking Club will be taking its annual Buffalo River gentle canoe float on June 18. The group will depart from the Indian Hills Country Club parking lot at 9 a.m. and stop in Leslie for brunch. This float is acceptable for children above the age of about 8 and is open to all local residents. Cost per canoe is about $55. In Cahoots will perform at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, June 8, at the Killebrew Theatre’s Second Saturday show in Leslie. Cost is $5 and all proceeds go to preserve the Ozark Heritage Center.
Hardin Cemetery will hold its Decoration at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 9. The annual meeting will begin with a presentation by Troop 152, Clinton. This is to dedicate the new flagpole installed as part of an Eagle Scout project of Devyn Raymo. The cemetery will acknowledge veterans and the branches of service. Archey Valley Church is having its Decoration on June 16. Clean-up day will be June 8. On June 16, services will start at 9:45 a.m. and a potluck will follow.
