The Clinton Area Chamber of Commerce Banquet will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, at the Clinton High School cafeteria. KTHV anchor Craig O’Neill is scheduled to be guest speaker.

There will be an organizational meeting for those interested in beginning a farmers, crafters and artists market in Clinton at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, at the Petit Jean Electric Community room. For more information call Jackie Sikes at 253-4716.

The Van Buren County Young Republicans (ages 18-40) will meet at 6:30 p.m. March 5 at the Island Financial office in downtown Clinton. Topics will be gun control and social issues. There will be door prizes and refreshments. For more information call (501) 757-2052.

A Tri-County Pasture Renovation meeting is set for 6:30 p.m. March 7 at the Leslie Intermediate School, 800 Elm St., Leslie. Speakers will be Paul Beck, a University of Arkansas associate professor, and extension agents Danny Griffin of Van Buren County and Blair Griffin of Johnson County. Damascus Chapter 515 Order of the Eastern Star will serve breakfast from 7-9 a.m. Saturday, March 2, 2013, at the Doric Lodge 471 F&AM, Highways 65 and 285 West in Damascus. The menu includes biscuits, sausage gravy, scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage. Donations go to charities. Everyone is welcome.

The Clinton M.U.T.T.S. Club presents Family Movie Night on the lawn at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, March 2, at Clinton City Park. Bring lawn chairs and blankets and watch Ice Age 4, Continental Drift. Admission is free and refreshments will be for sale. All proceeds go to help pay for the club’s summer camp.

The Vegetarian Exchange will be held March 3 at 5 p.m. in the gym at the Seventh Day Adventist church, 125 Skyhill Drive in Clinton. All are welcome to come share recipes. Come get some free burgers. Contact seh97001@yahoo.com for more information.

Students from all three county high schools’ Family and Consumer Science classes will hand out fruit and vegetable samples and talk about nutrition at Thriftway in Clinton next month. The students will be in the grocery store’s produce department from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Shirley students will be at the store on Friday, March 1; South Side students on Monday, March 4; and Clinton students on Tuesday, March 5.
